First we will meet each other face to face to discuss the broad outlines of your strategy development project. Subjects that will be discussed during this meeting are: the goals of your company and the possible boundaries within which company organization has to operate; the set-up and scope of the project; the persons whose perspective and buy-in are crucial and as a result should be part of the team.

After this meeting we will develop a proposal without obligation on the basis of what we discussed.

Jointly create insight into the major strategic options for your business to achieve your future goals

After proposal approval, we will start to create insight into the major strategic options for your business to achieve your future goals. This insight is created by means of in-depth interviews and often a workshop with your team and possibly other stakeholders (like customers). At this stage we use various models, grids and graphs to visualize the current and future state of your business in order to aid the creation of insight into the major strategic options that are available to your company.

Jointly evaluate and select the major strategic options to achieve your future goals

The final phase is the evaluation and selection of the major strategic options. This is done by means of a workshop during which you and your team evaluate and decide:

  • Where to play (and where not) to meet your goals
  • How to win where you choose to play (how to obtain competitive advantage)
  • Where to allocate your resources to maintain / obtain the capabilities that are required to win

Tools, such as models, grids and graphs, are used to facilitate this process. 

Once your strategy has been formulated we help you and your team to identify possible risks of the strategy and to formulate risk mitigation actions. We also help you and your team to get started with the execution of your revised strategy by setting milestones and assigning action owners.

We clearly report your revised strategy (i.e. the workshop outcome).
